From New England and Catskills of New York

• Take I-84 West to I-81 South to exit 170B (old exit 47B). This will put you on Route 309 North (see below).

Harrisburg or York, PA

• Take I-81 North to exit 170B (old exit 47B). This will put you on Route 309 North (see below).

Maryland, Virginia and points south

• Take I-81 North to exit 170B (old exit 47B). This will put you on Route 309 North (see below).

Long Island, New York City and northern New Jersey

• Take I-80 West to old Exit 43.
• Follow 115 North until it becomes Route 309 North (see below).

Allentown, Philadelphia, PA and southern New Jersey

• Take Northeast Extension of the PA Turnpike to exit 105 (Bear Creek/Wilkes-Barre exit - old exit 36)
• Turn left onto 115 North and follow it until it becomes Route 309 North (see below).

Williamsport, State College, PA and points west

• Take I-80 East to I-81 North to old exit 170B (old exit 47B). This will put you on Route 309 North (see below).

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Airport (Avoca)

• Take I-81 South to exit 170B (old exit 47B). This will put you on Route 309 North (see below).

Scranton, PA; Binghamton, NY and points north

• Take I-81 South to exit 170B (old exit 47B). This will put you on Route 309 North (see below).

Once you are on Route 309 North

• Exit Route 309 North at Exit 3 (River Street Exit).
• Upon exiting you will come to a traffic light. Make a left at this light. You are now on River Street.
• Immediately after turning left onto River Street you will encounter the 1st of 8 traffic lights. Continue on River Street through the 8 traffic lights (about 2 miles).
• After the 7th traffic light, move into the left lane and continue for 1/2 block.
• Immediately after passing a long brick building on your left (Stark Learning Center) you will see a parking lot. Turn left into parking lot, which is next to Chase Hall, the Office of Admissions. Chase Hall is a brown and white Tudor-style mansion. There is a gate and a call box with a white button. Push the button and inform Security that you are here to visit the Wilkes University GIS Center.
