The Wilkes GIS/Remote Sensing Center offers a full range of GIS and mapping services and support. Our GIS work involves the use both PC and Workstation versions of ArcInfo and ArcView for spatial analysis and graphic display. With respect to remote sensing, the Center processes both multi-spectral satellite imagery and aerial photography for mapping and spatial analysis. The system is complemented with the integration of GPS (Global Positioning System) for feature mapping and geo-referencing.
